Lavaca County Lookups

USGenWeb Lookup Policy

The USGenWeb Project does not allow copyright violations. Lookup requests should be limited to one or two names. Information given will be minimal. For example in a cemetery lookup, the information given will be the name of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone. You may not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group or for hardcopies to be mailed. The USGenWeb Project volunteers have been asked not to comply with such requests. Lookups can extend to searching the copyrighted material to determine if the material would be helpful to the requester in their research. Should the copyrighted material prove useful, the volunteer can provide the author's address and ordering information.

Please take time to thank those who help you!

Regena Williamson has volunteered to do lookups in the Lavaca County marriage records and in Sammy Tise's Lavaca County, Texas Cemetery Records, Volumes I-VI. Regena will also photograph tombstones for you.

Susan Riggs has offered to do lookups of marriage records 1842-1882. She can also do lookups in Sammy Tise's Lavaca County, Texas Cemetery Records, Volumes I-VI and in New Homes in a New Land by Ethel Geue.

Carla Ratcliff has offered to do lookups in the records of the Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum. These records include unmarked graves that were not included in Sammy Tise's book.
Linda Bowden will do 1880 census lookups. Please put the words LOOK-UP in the subject line of your email. Should you not hear from her in about three days, please resend the e-mail.
If you are able to help others by providing lookups, please contact Regena.
Most lookup volunteers find real enjoyment and satisfaction in helping others with their research.
