| Beck & Buffington Funeral Homes Ledgers Computerized and indexed by James A. York and Barbara Wauson York for the Carl and Mary Welhausen Library, Yoakum, Texas 810 Front Street, Yoakum TX 77995. Most entries in the actual ledgers which are located at the Welhausen Library include place of birth, place of death, residence, county, occupation, father & place of birth, mother & place of birth, spouse, and other notes. Volunteers from the "Friends of the Library" are available to do lookups. They prefer that requests be made through email by contacting Jeanne Wagener Luersen, genealogy volunteer, or through snail mail to Carl & Mary Welhausen Library, Attention: Genealogy. This index is a list of obituaries clipped from the Lavaca County Tribune, Hallettsville, Texas by Mr. E.F. Smith of Gonzales, Texas. The obituaries were placed in scrapbooks which are now llocated at the Carl and Mary Welhausen Library in Yoakum. (It is possible that this is not a complete list of the obituaries for this time period.)
