I am researching the Ira McDONALD family in or around Lavaca County, TX. Ira is shown on the 1850 Lavaca County Federal Census as being born in Va. occupation as a Blacksmith. His wife may be named Mary. His children are listed as Alvin K. McDONALD, Mary J. McDONALD, Eliza A. A. McDONALD, George W. McDONALD, Andrew McDONALD, Sarah J. McDONALD, and Benjamin Franklin McDONALD. Benjamin is my greatgrandfather. He was born July 4, 1847 in Lavaca County and the family was still there for the 1850 census. By 1872 Benjamin was in the area of Randolph County, Ill and Perry County, MO. He married Susanna HUTSON of Perry County, Mo in 1872. They lived in Kaskaskia, Randolph, Illinois and had 5 sons.

I am looking for the burial place of Reinhardt and Hellina (JUNKER) STOELTJE Jr. They immigrated to Texas in 1845 and lived in Frelsburg, Colorado Co., through the 1880 census. They are not found on the 1900 census. Legend goes Reinhardt is the son of Renke and Margaretha (BRUNS) STOELTJE and that Reinhardt and Hellina lived in Blumenthal, Colorado Co. Both Reinhardt and Hellina were born in 1811 and he died before his mother in 1892 and she died in 1896. None of these dates have been proven! They had the following children; Anna FEHRENKAMP, Lizzie MEHRENS, Margaretha STEINMETZ, Helena SCHNEIDER who in 1893 moved her family to Bauersville, Lavaca Co., and George STOELTJE who never married and lived with his brother-in-law, Herman Mehrens, in Wharton Co., until his death in 1902. Any help you can give me in locating their graves would be deeply appreciated. This has been an on going mystery!

Her parents were Frank PETERS and Rosalie (KOLACHE?) ORSAK. James Harvey Swank remarried after Maude's death in 1913. He married a Cora LANGSTON/WILLIAMSON. They lived in Yoakum, Tx, Lavaca Co until his death in 1934-35. Looking for information on children of David JONES and Sarah Ann CUMMINGS. Their names were Mary M., Amanda Jane, Louis G., Rebecca S. and Zola M. Jones. David died in 1868 and Sarah moved to Travis Co. after the 1870 census, but I believe she moved back during the 1870's. Amanda married Littleberry MEYER in Lavaca in 1879. I'm looking for information on BOSWORTH, BOUNDS, HANNA, and RUCKER. My gg grandfather Henry Bosworth and his wife Martha Bounds came to Texas (Lavaca Co.) in the early 1850's from Mississippi. My great grandfather Woodson Bosworth married Bettie Ivanhoe Rucker in Hallettsville in 1879. Don't have a clue where her father Thomas Rucker came from (perhaps Virginia). Bettie Ivanhoe's mother was Hester Ann Hanna who was born in Louisiana about 1834. Hester Ann's mother, Elizabeth Hanna (HINCKLEY) married about 4 or 5 times and lived in and around Hallettsville (Sweet Home) for many years. Judge Boethel mentions the Hanna's in his books about Lavaca County. Would like to exchange any information.

The ONEAL family moved to Lavaca county from Lafayette County, Arkansas between 1850 & 1855. We know about his older son, Reatas ONeal b Alabama 1838 but are trying to find out what happened to another son, Autas/Acetas ONeal b Alabama 1840. Autas ONeal appears on the 1850 US Census with the family in Lafayette County, Arkansas. Acetas ONEIL appears on the Lavaca County School census of 1855. The family moved from Lavaca County to Karnes county between 1855 & 1860. Autas/Acetas is not listed in the 1860 census of Karnes county with his family. but he would have been 20 years old and no doubt was elsewhere. What happened to this individual?
