Old Sacred Heart Cemetery
HALLETTSVILLE, LAVACA COUNTY, TEXAS
The Old Sacred Heart Cemetery was started in 1882 at the south end of the Sacred Heart property. There are twenty-two old grave markers laid into a cement slab in an attempt to preserve them. Six other names were added to a large marker to remember others buried here for whom there are no markers. The oldest marker is for Henry Gerdes who died 7 Sept 1882. The last burial was in March 1890.
